Help build the platform that automates quoting for manufacturing companies, connecting to email, understanding customer requests, pricing items, and generating quotes end-to-end. You’ll join as one of the first engineers, with real ownership across backend architecture, frontend UX, and customer-facing delivery.
Why this role
- Huge market to conquer: 10,000+ US fastener manufacturers alone spend $100k+ on quoting solutions, this product is set to disrupt a much wider manufacturing segment.
- High ownership & impact: Ship production software, talk to users, and see your work go live fast.
- Serious backing: Seeded with ~$3M from top-tier investors (incl. YC and leading funds) plus angels from frontier AI labs.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end product engineering: data models, APIs, services, and polished UI.
- Design resilient backend architecture and build intuitive frontend interfaces.
- Engage directly with customers to translate workflows into product features.
- Take production responsibility—debug incidents, improve reliability, and raise the quality bar.
- Collaborate tightly with founders and go-to-market to prioritise what moves the needle.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience shipping full-stack, production SaaS in a fast-paced startup or scale-up.
- Strength across backend + frontend (language/framework agnostic; examples might include TypeScript/Node, Python/Go, React, SQL/NoSQL, and a major cloud)
- Solid grounding in systems design, testing/CI/CD, observability, and security best practice.
- Comfortable speaking with customers, mapping messy workflows, and iterating quickly.
- Calm under pressure; you take ownership from problem to production.
Nice to have: experience with quoting/pricing engines, ERP/EMS integrations, email processing, or manufacturing workflows; interest in applied AI.
