About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join a pioneering team building the next generation of AI-driven user research platforms. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems that power real-time user interactions. You will have the opportunity to shape the technical direction, tackle complex engineering challenges, and contribute directly to a product that bridges the gap between people and technology.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate directly with the CTO and CEO on strategic product and technical decisions.
- Design, build, and optimise backend services, APIs, and real-time data infrastructure that handle complex streaming workloads.
- Develop and refine proprietary AI and large language model systems to enhance real-time communication and analysis.
- Lead projects from concept to production deployment with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Engage directly with users to gather feedback, identify pain points, and continuously improve product quality and functionality.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–10 years of software engineering experience building production-grade backend systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Experience leading end-to-end engineering projects in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with WebRTC, real-time data streaming, or AI/ML infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, and leadership teams.
