The Role
As Cellular Operations Product Lead, you will own end-to-end deployment operations for a fast-growing cellular product. You will coordinate large-scale physical installations, work closely with carriers and vendors, and build the processes required to scale from early deployments to hundreds of installs. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on problem solving in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale physical-world deployment operations for in-building cellular solutions
- Coordinate installs with internal deployment teams, external vendors, and carrier partners
- Manage carrier and vendor relationships, including SLAs and delivery performance
- Design and implement scalable operational processes and playbooks
- Act as the operational owner for on-site issues, escalations, and real-world constraints
- Partner closely with engineering and product to translate technical requirements into executable operations
Required Experience
- 5–10 years’ experience in operations, deployment operations, or program management
- Background in physical-world products or infrastructure (e.g. hardware, telecoms, network deployments)
- Proven track record of scaling operations from early-stage to large-scale execution
- Experience managing external partners, vendors, or carriers
- Strong evidence of high-impact ownership in prior roles
Nice to Have
- Experience in telecommunications, cellular, or network infrastructure
- Familiarity with tools such as Airtable or similar operational workflow platforms
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
Profile
- Self-starter with strong ownership and autonomy
- Able to learn complex technical domains quickly (no engineering background required)
- Confident communicator across installers, partners, and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and solving real-world deployment challenges
Location & Working Pattern
- San Francisco-based
- Hybrid working, minimum 3 days per week in the office
This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly scaling product at an early stage and take ownership of a mission-critical operations function.
