About the job Systems: Client Application Engineer
Our client seeks a client application engineer to join its Systems group as a team lead. The Client Application Engineering team deploys, customises, integrates, and supports the third party client applications used at their firm e.g., Citrix, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Slack.
Team members also work on developing automation and tooling in support of these applications. The role offers the opportunity to be part of an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY TO DAY
- Engineers on the CAE team are responsible for the technical engineering of the third party applications within the CAE teams product catalogue.
- They also collaborate with firm wide business units and other groups in Systems to improve and enhance product offerings.
- Additional responsibilities will include technical support of CAE products as well as contribution to the CAE team ops rotation.
WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR
- Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in how technology works and should have a degree in computer science (or another related technical discipline) or comparable experience of up to five years.
- Windows desktop and or application engineering experience is required
- As is proficiency in a scripting language
- An automation focused approach, and a practical understanding of development and general software engineering practices and platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills are critical, as is a client service mindset in order to build successful relationships within the department and across other business units at the firm.
- Experience working with enterprise level applications in CAE technology areas e.g., remote access, wiki, messaging, mobile, video, and business productivity is beneficial.
- Prior experience supporting and or engineering specific applications in these areas e.g., Citrix, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Slack is also a plus but is not required.
