JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:

  • Develop Webservices using Java/J2EE JAXB,Consume external and internal Webservices.
  • Create /Modify WSDL ,schemas.
  • Deploy the Webservices in TibcoActiveMatrixServiceGrid environment.
  • Design and develop business, application, data, and infrastructure solutions, seek opportunities to optimize performance, maintain, support and troubleshoot application components as required.
  • Play an active role in the architecture and be a key voice in technical initiatives and projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems.
  • Design and develop with consideration for Non-Functional Requirements (Scalability, Reliability, Availability, Observability, Fault Tolerance, Security, and Maintainability).
  • Create system documentation/playbook(s) and serve as technical reviewer and contributor in requirements, design, and code review.
  • Develop test case design, perform test case execution, and work with product teams to resolve identified issues.
  • Have the continuous improvement mindset on all areas of development and deployment.
  • Write well designed, non-complex, testable, efficient code.
  • Support application code deployment from Test to Production environment.
  • Aid and cover for other team members where required, including troubleshooting and maintenance of production systems/programs/applications.
  • This role required to be on site in Atlanta, GA (hybrid on site / work from home schedule)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience in Java with good understanding and hands on Core Java, Collections, Streams, Lambda expressions Java 8.
  • Proficient in JAVA JDK 1.8 or JDK 11 and J2EE.
  • Experienced with SOA/Middleware Webservice service design and development.
  • Good experience in Creating Webservices and consuming Webservices as Producer and Consumer.
  • Hands on experience in Webservices based Service implementation and design patterns.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Web services (SOAP/REST) and working experience of XML, XSD, WSDL, JDBC, MQ, SOAP concepts.
  • Familiarity with Code Repository such as IBM Rational Clearcase, GitLab.
  • Experience in SOAP testing and tools used for service testing (SOAP-UI) and provide support during user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with Monitoring and Logging tools such as SUMO, Dynatrace.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment using workload management tools like VersionOne/Agility.
  • Support application code deployment from Test to Production environment.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot functional issues and identify modifications needed to address the issues.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passion for driving continuous improvement.
  • Proactive and able to quickly pick up new technologies.
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills. Assures smooth flowing, timely transmission of critical information.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolve problems in a calm and quick manner and display a high degree of initiative and drive.

Nice to Have:

  • Airline business domain knowledge.
  • Knowledge of JDK11 is a plus.
  • Deploying Java Webservices in TibcoActiveMatrixServiceGrid environment.
  • Good understanding and hands on Backend Spring boot API development. Spring security, OAuth Security and JPA. Experience in developing Spring Boot Rest API as a producer or Consumer, Backend frameworks like Hibernate, experience in Swagger design. Experience with RESTFul APIs', CI/CD Tekton, Kubernetes, Maven, Gradle, GitLab, Test Driven Development, Functional Programming.
