About the job Head Nurse - OR

Our Esteemed client is actively seeking to appoint a Nurse Manager/Head Nurse within its Operating Department

Responsible to provide clinical and administrative supervision of day to day unit operational activities to ensure providing optimal quality care within the scope of service of the department. Head Nurse is responsible to ensure that all Nursing staff are well trained and competent to perform their tasks/ job in efficient and safe way.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Ensure efficient and effective department performance by monitoring patient flow and the delivered care by multidisciplinary team.
Do daily round on all patient to ensure that they are receiving the expected Nursing care and check their needs.
Distribute daily staff assignment and allocation as per their level of competency and type of patient and fairly way.
Review and recommend and approve staff request (leave, overtime etc.) on the system.
Attend patient concerns/ complaints and take the correction measures to avoid reoccurrence.
Conduct meeting with the staff on weekly/ monthly basis, minutes to be recorded and communicated properly.
Adhere and ensure staff adherence to infection control guidelines and other JCIA/ CBAHI Standards.
Provide patient and family with the required education.
Prepare the required reports on a timely basis.

Ensure staff have complete and update HR requirements:
Certificates
Competencies
Orientations
Evaluations
License (valid)
Prepare staff schedule/ rotas and ensure proper coverage per shift.
Monitor staff performance, attendance and other behavior, maintain proper record and evidence to identify staff needs.
Review incidents, staff performance to establish:
Staff development program
Department education learning assessment in coordination with HR and education department.
Participate in staff training and education activities.
Attend Nursing Administration meetings.
Participate in hospital committees.
Prepare and monitor department quality indicator and KPIs.
Adhere and ensure staff adherence to Nursing documentation.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Perform certain Nursing procedures related to the unit
Participate in, and lead person-centered care initiatives undertaken by the business
Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity
Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requirements
Education/ Professional Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent

Experience

Minimum Eight (8) years of relevant experience and Three (3) years experience at Senior Nursing level.

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training

Certification : BLS, ACLS or NRP, relevant certifications Preferred
Licensing : Eligibility for Saudi Council & Licensed from Country of Origin
