JOB DESCRIPTION

WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE AT LEAST 3 DAYS/WEEK, 2 DAYS/WEEK AT HOME - HYBRID ROLE

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for directing the resources on complex IT projects to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obtains buy-in from the executive project sponsors of the mission, vision, strategy, and approach.

Works with business partners to ensure all proper requirements and supporting development deliverables are accounted for and well documented.

Initiates, compiles, audits, and assembles all project resources and reporting materials for key stakeholders based on agreed upon reporting lines and methods.

Evaluates project risk, changes, and issues, including development of contingency plans and solution and process alternatives.

Ensures that resources assigned to the project have all the tools and information needed to perform their project tasks.

Ensures that the project complies with Fifth Third IT Project Life Cycle methodology.

Plays a lead role in managing and coordinating major systems and business projects and provides tactical and strategic input to the project.

Monitors issues between projects and resolves project conflict.

Participates in contract negotiations with clients, contractors and vendors.

Performs project audit for projects.

Other duties as required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Bachelors degree or equivalent

10-12+ years of experience as a project manager

Project management / PMP certification is a plus

Agile / Scrum Certification is a plus

TECHNICAL SKILLS (Must Have)

10+ Years hands-on experience as release manager or technical project manager.

IT Project Manager will work as part of the Data Center Migration project team to assist in planning and execution of the migration Client production data center

Strong working knowledge of infrastructure technologies and experience managing infrastructure projects

Strong negotiation (within all levels of organization) and problem-solving skills

Ability to mitigate/resolve conflict

Proficient use of project management tools and methodologies

Understanding Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CI/CD pipelines).

In addition to good project management skills:

Candidates must possess a strong technical background and possess above average skills using Microsoft Project and other MS Office products.

Candidates will be primarily remote workers with the ability to travel to 5/3 locations on occasion.

Candidates will be involved in running weekend migrations which will require weekend hours as migrations begin.

Experience in large-scale IT implementations, rollouts or migrations is required.

Data Center background is a strong plus
