About the service:


The Oral & Maxillofacial department is a tertiary service whose catchment covers the Central North Island NZ. The Hospital in Hamilton is a Level-1 trauma centre and one of New Zealand's largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres.

About the role:


The position includes a role in the Oral & Maxillofacial Department, which practices the full scope of the specialty, including; all maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, dentofacial deformity, surgical management of TMJ, and all benign and malignant pathology including surgical treatment of head & neck oncology. There will be an on-call component to the position.

Required skills & experience:


This is a challenging role which demands outstanding professional skills, commitment to the specialty and the department and a vision of providing a team-based service founded on excellence in all aspects of the business. Applicants must be suitably qualified Medical Practitioners who hold qualifications that are registrable with the New Zealand Dental and Medical Councils. You should also hold or be eligible for vocational registration in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery with theNew Zealand Medical Council.
