What they are looking for

Our client is looking for an experienced designer who is passionate about building a world-class product and who excels at fast-paced design and iteration with users. Experience designing data tools or products is critical as we look to reinvent this space with a solution built for the modern data stack.

Job description

As a member of the Product Team, you'll partner with the Founders to play a critical role in developing the foundational product and beyond.

In a typical week, they take features from concept to deployed code. Key activitiesinclude:

  • Communicating closely with the product team to fully understand "who" you're buildingfor and the "why" behind what you're building
  • Beta testing new features and working with engineers to refine them until they are ready for users
  • "Dice Rolling" new product designs with users (i.e. identifying the fastest way to get new functionality in users hands so they can validate it)
  • Interfacing with Customers and the Customer Success team to get user feedback, identify friction points in the product, and propose improvements to improve the user experience
  • Building an incredible team culture that revolves around accountability, humility, and customer results

Must haves

  • 3+ years of experience on a product or UX team for a SaaS application
  • Familiar with analytics products and users, including BI tools, notebooks, transformation tools, etc
  • Skilled at rapid iteration and prototyping
  • Strong ability to iterate directly with customers, gathering feedback and adjusting designs as needed
  • Data-driven in the design and iterative development process
  • Experience working on a small team (preferably a start-up) with full responsibility for rapid delivery
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote environment

Nice to haves

  • Strong aptitude for rapid prototyping
  • Experience building high-fidelityprototypes and product mockups inFigma
  • Understanding of javascript and CSS
  • Experience facilitating user design workshops both internally and externally
