About the Role
As an Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarian, you will play a vital role in delivering urgent, high-quality medical care to small animals and exotic pets experiencing trauma, poisoning, or acute illness. Your responsibilities will include performing physical exams, diagnostics, emergency surgeries, and formulating treatment plans.

You will collaborate closely with the ECC team and veterinary specialists, maintain accurate patient records, and communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners. A commitment to excellence, high ethical standards, and ongoing professional development are essential to thrive in this role.

Working Hours:

  • Day shifts, 7am 7pm, 3-day work week including weekends, public holidays, and occasional night shifts.

  • Night Shifts, 7pm 7am, 3-day work week, including Public Holiday and weekend shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and critical care during scheduled shifts.

  • Attend daily inpatient rounds at shift changes.

  • Perform consultations and follow-ups for day and night emergency cases.

  • Conduct physical exams, diagnostic tests (e.g., TFAST, AFAST, bloodwork, radiographs, CT scans), and emergency surgeries.

  • Interpret diagnostics and formulate treatment plans accordingly.

  • Stabilize and treat critical conditions including trauma and poisoning.

  • Prescribe appropriate medications based on findings.

  • Collaborate with support staff and specialists to ensure optimal care.

  • Communicate with pet owners regarding care plans, prognosis, and follow-up.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.

  • Coordinate inter-departmental case transfers and liaise with referring clinics.

  • Manage high caseloads calmly and professionally.

  • Adhere to ethical and medical standards.

  • Participate in continuing education and ECC team training when needed.


Desired Skills & Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Certification in ECC is an advantage.

  • Endoscopy/gastroscopy skills preferred.

  • Veterinary degree must be recognized by the AVA in Singapore (please see websitehere)
