MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As Most Responsible Physician ( MRP) of patients admitted under his/her name, ensure optimal care of those patients
Undertake outpatient, inpatient and operating duties with punctuality and in professional manner
Cooperate with other consultants . Section Heads and Chairman in Day- to- day department affairs including morbidity/ mortality and quality improvement activities
Ensure that all middle grade and junior staff in the team carry out their duties appropriately. Teaches and guides them in all aspects of surgical care.
Responsible for timely completion of medical records and also the quality of the records
Undertake duties as assigned by section head and chairman
Partakes in committee duties as requested or nominated, representing section head when requested
Organizes academic and teaching activities as necessary
Responsible for Associate and Assistant Consultants, Staff Surgeons Residents and interns on the team.
Liaises with other consultants and senior staff as indicated
Perform other job related duties

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Completion of required period of training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine
Candidates must have current medical license to practice.
Hold Consultant License with the SCFHS, by holding a Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualification such as:
Western training: American Board/ UK CCT/ Australia or NZ Royal College Fellowship/ Western European Specialisation Board.
Experience: 3 to 5 years' post board or specialisation certification experience depending on country of origin to qualify for Consultant with the Saudi Council.

Professional Experience

Min. 3-5 years Post Board/Fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language

Proficiency in English; and Arabic is essential.
