Location: Haverfordwest, Wales
Tenure: 12 month locum (contract)

Are you a dedicated and experienced medical professional with a passion for General Medicine and Care of the Elderly? We are seeking a Locum Consultant for a 12-month contract with the potential for permanent recruitment. Join our client's esteemed team and make a meaningful impact on patient care in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialised Care: Provide expert medical care in General Medicine and Care of the Elderly.
• Leadership: Manage and lead a team of junior doctors, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Patient Management: Handle the management of patients presenting with various medical problems.
• Acute and Community Medicine: Work across both acute and community settings within COTE Medicine.
• On-Call Duties: Participate in a 1:12 non-resident on-call rota, residing within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call purposes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Certification: MRCP or equivalent.
• On-Call Experience: Demonstrated experience with on-call responsibilities for acute general medical patients (unselected).
• Acute and Elderly Medicine: Broad-based experience in Acute General Medicine and Care of the Elderly.
• System Knowledge: Familiarity with UK hospital systems (or equivalent).
• Continuous Professional Development: Active participation in CPD activities.
• Competence: Proven competence in Acute General and Elderly Medicine, with expertise in an elderly-based subspecialty.
